Psalm 100: A Psalm for Giving Thanks
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!
Know that the Lord, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!
For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.
This Psalm not only calls us to worship God, but it reminds us why He is worthy of our praise. When we focus on who God is and what he has done, our heart cannot help but overflow with love and thanksgiving.
To help you have a heart of gratitude, make a list of all you are thankful for. I bet you’ll begin to notice that God blesses you beyond just your daily needs. Not only do you have a house, food and a bed to sleep in, but you also have loved ones to care for you, toys to play with, friends to share with, and ways to entertain yourself. When you really look at it, you’ll notice that your life is overflowing with blessings.
Create a reminder of this grateful heart by listing your blessings on your turkey feathers, and then SHOW US YOUR TURKEY!
